Autism Ontario Education Scholarships

The Autism Ontario Education Scholarships include three scholarships available to students with Autism, siblings of Autistic individuals, or parents of Autistic individuals who are studying in Ontario.

Each year, Autism Ontario awards scholarships to outstanding students entering their first year of post-secondary studies throughout Ontario. Here is a summary of all scholarships.

Eleanor Ritchie Education Scholarship is for individuals on the autism spectrum entering the first year of a post-secondary program. The Eleanor Ritchie Education Scholarship was named after Eleanor Ritchie, a longstanding member of Autism Ontario. Since 2003, 132 Eleanor Ritchie Education scholarships have been awarded to students across Ontario. Each scholarship is worth $500. There is a limited number of these scholarships. Jeanette Holden Educational Scholarship is for siblings of a person on the autism spectrum who are entering the first year of a post-secondary program. The Jeanette Holden Educational Scholarship was named after Dr. Jeanette Holden, a sibling of an individual with ASD, in recognition of her dedication and contributions to ASD research. Since 2003, 87 Jeanette Holden scholarships have been awarded to students across Ontario. Each one of these scholarships is worth $500. There are only a few of these scholarships available. McDonald Family Educational Scholarship is for children of a parent on the autism spectrum who are entering the first year of a post-secondary program. Autism Ontario’s newest scholarship is named after Carole Ann MacDonald and her family. Ms. MacDonald is the first member of the Board of Directors of Autism Ontario who has a diagnosis of ASD. The amount for each of these scholarships is $500. Here is where you apply

Autism Ontario accepts applications for scholarships online, via e-mail, or by mail by no later than July 17, 2025 (if following past trends). Here is the main page where you can access all of these scholarships.
