The Eleanor Ritchie Scholarship is awarded to a student who is entering their first year of an undergraduate or graduate program in Ontario, and identifies as having autism.
The above scholarship commemorates Eleanor Ritchie, a longstanding member of Autism Ontario in recognition of her dedication and support for autistic people. Since 2003, 132 Eleanor Ritchie Education scholarships have been awarded to students across Ontario.

Criteria
In order to be considered eligible for the above scholarship, students must be:
- a resident of Ontario;
- accepted or entering their first year of an undergraduate / post-graduate / apprenticeship program at an accredited college / university in Canada;
- demonstrative or self-identify as having autism;
Please note that students can apply as often as they wish, provided they are in their first year of a post-secondary program. Students can only receive an Autism Ontario scholarship once.
How to Apply

Along with the completed application form, applicants must also submit:
- a copy of the letter of admission / proof of enrollment (ie. an early acceptance letter) from a post-secondary institution;
- a copy of the applicant’s diagnosis from a medical / psychological professional;
- a cover letter, which should provide the following:
- Information about the applicant including future goals, interests, and/ or career pathways;
- Description of the post-secondary program and why this program was chosen;
- Full contact information (ie. name, address, phone number, and email address). A social insurance number will be required only if you are awarded a scholarship, in which you will be contacted;
