The Emmy Duff Scholarship is available to post-secondary students who have undergone or are currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

In keeping with Em’s spirit of giving, the Emmy Duff Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to deserving students. The Scholarships will support post-secondary academic endeavours and recognize your personal triumphs.
Criteria
The scholarships are open to students who:
- are currently attending or will be attending a Canadian university or college program for the 2023/2024 academic year
- confirmation of enrolment as a full-time or part-time student will be required for the successful recipients
- are in any year of their studies
- are a resident of and currently residing in Canada
- have demonstrated an ongoing volunteer commitment to causes that are important to them
- have undergone treatment or are currently being treated for cancer
How to Apply
- Students must complete the 2023 application form available through the Emmy Duff Scholarship webpage
- Only 2023/2024 application forms will be accepted
- Email all required documents as ONE PDF to scholarships@emmyduffscholarship.org
- Mark the subject line of the email as ‘2023 Scholarships – Your Name’
- Applications must include the following documents:
- A statement from your oncologist or current physician confirming that you were treated (or are currently receiving treatment) for a cancer diagnosis
- A statement is not required if you have applied in a previous year.
- A 300-500 word letter describing your personal life experience, your future goals, and why you are applying for this scholarship. Please include any details that you feel are relevant
- A statement from your oncologist or current physician confirming that you were treated (or are currently receiving treatment) for a cancer diagnosis
Selected applicants will also be required to provide their letter of acceptance from the Canadian post-secondary institution they will be attending in September 2023, or confirmation that they will be attending a college or university in 2022/2023.
Successful applicants will be notified by phone. Scholarship cheques will be issued to the college or university once confirmation of enrollment has been provided.
