The AER William and Dorothy Ferrell Scholarship is available every two years to two students who are legally blind and are studying for a career in the field of services to persons who are blind or visually impaired.

Deadline: AER will be issuing the next series of scholarships in 2024. The application will be posted in the Spring of 2024.
Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) proudly offers educational scholarships for individuals continuing their education in the field of providing services to the blind and visually impaired.
Criteria
- Applicants for the Ferrell Scholarship must be legally blind (have a visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the best-corrected eye and/or a visual field of 20 degrees or less.)
- Applicants must be studying at the post-secondary level for a career in the field of services to persons who are blind or visually impaired.
- Applicants may be located in any country.
- An AER student membership is not required but encouraged

Applications must be typed and submitted electronically to AER at michele@aerbvi.org.
The letters of recommendation and an original, signed proof of vision status must be mailed separately to
