The CHHA-Edmonton Academic Scholarship is awarded to students who are registered at a post-secondary institution in Northern Alberta, and have a documented hearing loss.

Criteria
In order to be considered eligible for the above scholarship, students must be:
- in possession of documented proof of their hearing loss;
- registered in a post-secondary institution located in Northern Alberta (northern and / or Red Deer);
- registered in full-time studies;
Please note that preference will be given to residents of the Province of Alberta.

Along with the completed application form, applicants must also submit:
- proof of acceptance into the identified program of study (ie. a letter of acceptance from your chosen post-secondary institution);
- proof of hearing loss (ie. a recent audiogram from an audiology clinic);
- a personal essay (approx. 500 words), written in your own words, briefly describing what your career goals are and how this scholarship will help you to achieve these goals
- if applicable, a piece of information on community involvement, preferably in the hard-of-hearing community (ie. a certificate or letter of appreciation from an organization, etc.)
- if applicable, proof of residency in Alberta (ie. a copy of Alberta Health Care Card, Alberta Driver’s License, etc.)
- a copy of your write-up on your career goals and the benefits of the scholarship
