The Harbhajan Ranauta Legacy Scholarship is open to a graduate student pursuing studies relating to the advancement of accessible Mental Health and/or Addiction support services.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a graduate student in Public Health, Social Work, Medicine or a related faculty at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be in good academic standing
- Be involved in their community (is an asset)
- Be of South Asian descent: The Harbhajan Ranauta Legacy Scholarship recognizes that “South Asian” can often be a complicated identity category and that relationships with heritage are unique and complex. Applications who self-identify with any of the varied identities within the term South Asian, including mixed identities and diasporas are welcomed.
How to Apply
All applicants must submit the complete application package:
- The Harbhajan Ranauta Legacy Scholarship application form; and
- Required documents:
- a cover letter (maximum 1000 words) describing:
- your personal, education, and community involvement background
- how your current studies relate to the advancement of Mental Health and/or Addiction
supports
- a signed letter of reference from an instructor or academic/faculty advisor
- a photocopy of your latest academic transcript.
