Criteria

In order to be considered eligible for the above bursary / award, students must be:

• Residents in the area(s) served by the British Columbia Interior Community Foundation — namely being South Cariboo, Nicola, and Thompson area(s);
• En route to graduating from a secondary school within school district(s) #58, #73, or #74, or a separate school in those regions;
• Planning to pursue post-secondary education at a college, university, trade school, or similar accredited institution(s);
• Demonstrative of ADHD and mental health challenges;
• Demonstrative of financial need;

Along with the completed application form, applicants must also submit:

• Any and all secondary school transcripts;
• Two letters / statements:
  • The first letter must be from the applicant and must provide a short biography, outline the challenges the student has overcome, and give details of their plans for the future
  • The second letter must be from a professional (ie. teacher, counsellor, doctor) who can document the challenges the student has faced
• Documentation outlining the details of the program they will be enrolled in and proof that they meet the requirements for that program
