The Mykel Frank-Rothenburger Bursary Fund is provided through the BC Interior Community Foundation, and is awarded to a student who is graduating from BC School Districts #58, #73 or #74 (or a separate school in these regions), and has experienced ADHD and mental health challenges.
The Mykel Frank-Rothenburger Bursary Fund was established in memory of sixteen (16) year old Mykel Frank-Rothenburger, by his family, who’s aim is to help students who are struggling with ADHD and mental health challenges to continue their post-secondary education.

Criteria
In order to be considered eligible for the above bursary / award, students must be:
- Residents in the area(s) served by the British Columbia Interior Community Foundation — namely being South Cariboo, Nicola, and Thompson area(s);
- En route to graduating from a secondary school within school district(s) #58, #73, or #74, or a separate school in those regions;
- Planning to pursue post-secondary education at a college, university, trade school, or similar accredited institution(s);
- Demonstrative of ADHD and mental health challenges;
- Demonstrative of financial need;

Along with the completed application form, applicants must also submit:
- Any and all secondary school transcripts;
- Two letters / statements:
- The first letter must be from the applicant and must provide a short biography, outline the challenges the student has overcome, and give details of their plans for the future
- The second letter must be from a professional (ie. teacher, counsellor, doctor) who can document the challenges the student has faced
- Documentation outlining the details of the program they will be enrolled in and proof that they meet the requirements for that program
