BC Epilepsy Society Bursary

The BC Epilepsy Society offers bursaries to students in British Columbia living with epilepsy who currently attend or plan to attend a post-secondary institution of education or training.

Each year, our Society awards bursaries to people with epilepsy in BC who are entering, or are in, a post-secondary academic, vocational, arts, technical, or technological program. These bursaries can be applied toward tuition, books, on-campus housing, or other academic expenses. To be eligible, a student must demonstrate financial need, have a history of epilepsy, be 16 years or older, be a Canadian citizen, and be a current member of the BC Epilepsy Society. The bursaries are awarded on the basis of educational commitment, volunteer work, and other achievements or interests.

Criteria

To be eligible, a student must:

  • Have financial need
  • Have a history of epilepsy
  • Be 16 years or older
  • Be a resident of BC
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Be a current member of the BC Epilepsy Society (you can become a member of the BC Epilepsy Society by applying on the BC Epilepsy Website)

Applicants must fill out the application form and submit it by emailing it to sonia@bcepilepsy.com no later than May 31, 2025.
