The Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities is available to Canadian youth with disabilities pursuing post-secondary education.

The Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities aims to help Canadian youth with disabilities pursuing post-secondary education in a publicly funded Canadian institution, realize their full potential and achieve their career aspirations. The scholarship offers up to $40,000 CAD.
Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Be a person with a disability, defined as a functional limitation which affects the student’s ability to participate in post-secondary education
- Be 30 years or under before the application deadline
- Be enrolled in a full-time 1- to 4-year post-secondary program at a publicly funded Canadian institution for the 2024/25 academic year
- Not receiving other financial awards that total more than $2,500 per year (excluding student loans)
How to Apply
Applicants must submit the following information:
- A completed application form – The Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities online application
- A completed Proof of Disability Form
- 1-2 page résumé outlining professional skills, academic achievements, and community involvement
- 2 reference letters (1 must be from an educator)
- 2 most recent academic transcripts
Applications MUST be submitted online through The Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities online application by May 31, 2024, 11:59pm PST. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
